Jay explains
Until 2024 every charity soliciting in Utah registered with the Division of Consumer Protection and renewed every year. The 2024 legislature repealed the requirement for charities, effective May 1, 2024, leaving registration only for professional fundraisers and consultants. A charity that was registered has nothing to renew.
