Texas has no corporate income tax and no annual report with the Secretary of State. Instead every taxable entity files with the Comptroller by May 15: a Public Information Report, and a franchise tax report if annualized revenue is above the no tax due threshold, $2,650,000 for the 2026 and 2027 reports and indexed every two years. Since 2024, entities below the threshold file only the Public Information Report. Forgetting the report costs $50 even when no tax is due. A general partnership that never registered with the state files no annual report in most states.
