J
Jay explains
A business that collects Maine sales tax files returns on a schedule the Maine Revenue Services assigns from its volume: monthly for larger sellers, quarterly for most small ones, annually for the smallest. Dates here assume quarterly, due the 20th of the month after the quarter. Sales tax collected belongs to the state, and owners can be held personally liable for it.
