South Dakota requires every limited partnership or LLP registered in the state to file an annual report with the South Dakota Secretary of State by the first day of the anniversary month of its formation. The fee is $50. Miss it and the result is $50 late fee; administrative dissolution after 60 days. A company registered in more than one state files this in each of them. A general partnership that never registered with the state files no annual report in most states; the line is for limited partnerships and LLPs.
