A charity that solicits in Kansas registers with the Attorney General, which took the program over from the Secretary of State in 2023, and renews every year within six months after its fiscal year ends, June 30 for a calendar year. The fee is $25. Religious organizations, schools and some very small charities are exempt; the Attorney General's page lists the categories.
