A business that collects Connecticut sales tax files returns on a schedule the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services assigns from its volume: monthly for larger sellers, quarterly for most small ones, annually for the smallest. Dates here assume quarterly, due the last day of the month after the quarter. Sales tax collected belongs to the state, and owners can be held personally liable for it.
